23 Months

I love this little girl so much I can hardly stand it. She is so fun, sweet, loving, happy and perfect. She give us hugs and kisses all day, says "Hi guys!" to every stranger we see, and keeps us laughing constantly. When she's sleeping, I watch videos of her. I know, I'm totally lame.
Lately, Claire has been screaming a lot of her requests, and I ask her to rephrase it nicely. She'll say in the sweetest most sing-song voice possible "Nicely!" Or I'll use the exact polite words she needs to say, and she copies me so sweetly. She loves to build with blocks, read books, and have me draw pictures of our family on the magna-doodle (she tells me what to draw, it always starts with Claire in a dress, then daddy in a dress, then sometimes she adds mommy in a dress. We often get sunglasses and hats, then close our eyes and get a pillow and blanket). Claire has to do almost everything herself. She'll scream "SELF!!!!!" if we try to help her with something.
Some of my favorite things she says- "No I like it" (I don't like it), "mere'c" (come here), "blankie me" (when she wants a blanket on her), she always says "Ohhhhhh!" when she gives hugs, "see ya!", "licious dinner", "so yummy", "what's that", "who's that", "where are you", "help you" (which means help me), "I hungry". She can count to 10 totally by herself, but almost always leaves out 5. She still loves to point out letters. Her favorite show right now is Word World, and her favorite books are Pajama Time and If You Were My Bunny. Yesterday, the moon was out during the day and she tried to touch it using a stick. She kept running towards it to get closer.
Claire absolutely loved this neighbor boy's bike. She rode it around for a really long time, saying "Weee!!!!!" We need to get her one for her birthday!
She also loves dirt. She likes to say things like, "Oooo! Mud! Fun! I like it! I like it mud!"

She's been loving this amazing weather we've been having. It has been absolutely perfect.




This outfit that Claire picked out herself. Once we got outside and realized it was 70 degrees, she lost the jacket.
I was doing laundry and came back upstairs to hear Claire giggling and pretending to sleep in this chair. I have no idea how she got on it! The arm rests are attached with weak velcro, and right after this picture, she ripped them both off, so I don't think she could have climbed up the side. She loves to say "I need to sleep" and then pretend.

Eating what she calls "yummy treat", and what I call fake ice cream. It's just frozen bananas and strawberries that really does taste like ice cream! We love it!
Since Hyrum was out of town, Claire picked all our tulips to make me a Mother's Day bouquet. So thoughtful.


She was fascinated with this bug and followed it around for at least 5 minutes.

I wish I had gotten a video when Claire would say long prayers. She used to look around and bless everything she could see (including individual plates of food, glasses of water, the chair, daddy's house, mommy, claire, daddy, etc). She loves this little primary song.


Claire loves to play games on our phones.


Her sweet I love you. She likes to tell me when I'm wearing a cute shirt (usually it's pink or has sequins), she also says things are pretty or fancy (including things that are neither, like daddy's hat).
