In the middle of March, Claire had a week long potty regression that started within days of her speaking in sentences. Luckily, it was only pee, and only at home (still no accidents in public, fingers crossed), but it still drove me nuts! I did A LOT of laundry that week, and was very glad when it was over, almost as suddenly as it started.
A few cute little sentences she says frequently- No like it, I like it, another one, watchie this (usually followed by a somersault or swinging on the bars at gym), need to pee, need to sleep, mommy long hair, thank you mommy, I'm sorry mommy, I'm tired, hip hip horray, Yay Claire, what's that?
When she told me my eyes were white, I showed her that they were blue in the middle. She stared really closely, and then announced "Mommy's blues in the eyes" and talks about our blue eyes all the time.
Things she loves: our smartphone apps (Talking Tom, animal sounds, alphabet ones), bathing suits, wearing weird outfits around the house (that usually include at least one article of my clothing/underwear), going outside, swimming, bike rides with daddy, Super Why, Signing Time, videos of her cousins, somersaults, long hair, singing. In the car, she yells "Mommy SING!" I must have an amazing voice. It certainly is getting a work out since I have to sing constantly whenever we drive anywhere.
Favorite foods include scrambled eggs "eggies", pizza "potza", olives "ah-goos", smoothies, noodles "noo-noos", avocado, any fruit, carrots, veggie soup, broth, salsa, tortilla chips, chicken, lunch meat which she calls "hammy", and cheese
Claire loves to show you a picture or video and say "Look! Claire! Look!" She often does this to people that come over to our house, or when she is particularly excited about whatever she sees.
One annoying phase that I can't wait until it's over, is pulling her own hair. Claire will grab a fistful and yank, yelling "OOOOOUUUUCH! OUCH!"
Whenever she's doing something that is difficult, like walking up the stairs by herself (not crawling), she says "Tight! Oooo, tight!" She sometimes uses it appropriately (trying to squeeze through a small space) and other times not (while pooping). It is very cute though.
Claire saw me eating chocolate chips one day, pointed at them and said "Mommy's vitamins." Then she pointed to the cabinet where we keep the real vitamins and asked "Claire vitamins?" She loves her vit d gel caps, and mommy is very happy to keep her "vitamins" to herself.
She calls Hyrum's backpack "daddy's purse".
Her new step stool for the bathroom. Hyrum had just sold something on craigslist, so he had a bunch of cash, and Claire wanted it. It starts so young.
Eating "ice cream" made of frozen bananas and blueberries. So yummy!
Claire loves to take walks, wear daddy's hat (or have me wear it) and collect rocks/sticks/leaves etc.
Claire's starter collection. This is a very small fraction of stuff that she hands me.
Claire loves her "eyes" (sunglasses) and her neck pillow.
At Gymboree waiting for class to start.
She often seeks out the pink balls
Claire is so wonderful at following the directions, she loves to copy and do everything the teacher does.
Popping bubbles!
Claire was washing her hands after going potty, and just climbed right in. She also LOVES little step stools to stand on, and refuses to let us just hold her. Luckily I found a cute little pink one just the right size.
One of her outfits. Under the jacket, she's wearing my lingerie.

Claire narrates her life and everything around her. When we meet people, after she warms up a littler, she'll point out everything to them. "Mommy, daddy, Claire, mommy's blues eyes, foot, green diaper, jacket, sault! (and do a somersault), hair, baby 'puter (what she calls the netbook), stroller, pants, shirt, water, snack, mommy's shirt blue, claire's shirt pink" and on and on. She also loves to point out letters whenever she sees them, like in the video below. She names everything she sees, it's so fun. Lately, whenever I ask her where something is, she points to the kitchen and says "On the counter!"One day, Hyrum randomly asked Claire if she wanted mommy to have a baby (side note: we are not thinking about getting pregnant any time soon), and she enthusiastically said "YES!" So I told her that if I had a baby, she would have to share her na-na's. She stared at us for a full minute before bursting into tears and crying "No baby! No baby!" Poor thing! Later, we asked her if she wanted a sister or brother, and she always answers "baby sis-her". Sorry, Kristin, it's still not happening.
I'm pointing to letters on the keyboard, and she's naming them. I just go down the rows if you want to follow along ;) I'm still amazed she can do this. She LOVES learning about letters and I've started doing sounds with her.
I didn't realize how lame my new phone is when it comes to taking videos, so I can't rotate them. Sorry, try not to get a crick in your neck! Also, the poorer quality ones are because I used the front facing camera on my phone so Claire could see herself, and we were in a dark room. I got a lot of Claire singing her favorite songs.
Singing Silent Night
We made up a song about Claire using the Signing Time Rainbow song, and she requests that we sing it about a few other people too.
I'll sometimes find Claire holding a toy or baby all wrapped up, singing Rock-a-bye Baby and "nursing" it. So sweet.
She still loves giving hugs and kisses to sad anything, including herself on the camera

Brie- Claire is so smart...I'd even say genius! The keyboard amazes me!!! You are such a good mommy. I hope all is well for you and your family. And maybe it is time to think about baby #2! :)
I am astounded by the keyboard video. I can't believe how she knows here letters so well. I love all the chair pictures...soooo cute. I also love the money picture. Too funny.
