Claire's eczema got so bad from swimming 4 times in the 40 hours we were there. She would cry so hard and say "rashy hurt!" when we would lotion it, it was very sad. Stupid chlorine!

While she was playing around in the baby pool, she walked over to the little sign marked "2FT" for the depth, pointed to it and said "2, 7, F, T". She calls all numbers 2, and we thought the letters was a fluke, but after some more questioning, she really does recognize some letters! Hyrum was holding her and she suddenly pointed to his shirt and named all the capital letters on it. Then later, I picked up Goodnight Moon and asked Claire what it was and she pointed to each letter and said "M, O, O, N" (actually, she calls M and N the same). She pretty much knows all of the letters, but calls N "M", calls Z "S" and V is "Y". We figure that she learned this by watching Super Why, because we definitely have not taught her anything and that's the only show she watches.
Random, but I keep forgetting to blog about this. Claire likes to walk around touching things she's not supposed to (like the stove) and say "touch, touch, touch". It cracks me up.
On the way back from Bear Lake, I put in a CD that had "You Are My Sunshine" as the first song. As soon as it was over, Claire would yell "sunshine, sunshine, sunshine" until we put that song back on. We listened to it for at least 45 minutes straight. It's now one of her favorite songs.

Cute! I think I somehow missed this post. Looks like you guys had so much fun, minus the stupid rash!
Her poor skin, stupid chlorine. I wonder if the salt water from the ocean will be good or bad for her skin this summer? I love all the cute stories about her, and holy smart baby already knowing her letters!!!
I missed this post, too. I love the touch, touch, touch story. Little rascal. So sad that she has such crazy sensitive skin. Maybe wherever you move you will have a friend who has a salt water pool. I bet that would be better for her. And I agree with Brooke...holy smart baby.
