Claire's little mind has gone into overdrive and she has started stringing together words to make sentences. The first was when I was showing her pictures on the computer from Christmas and she saw a picture of herself and daddy dressed as Santa. I asked Claire who it was and she got so excited and yelled "My daddy is santa!" It was the first time I had heard her use "my" as well as make such a long sentence. She had another 4 word sentence that day, but I forgot what it was. Other things she says- "daddy nap", "mommy naked", "Kelli's eatin' it" (when we skype, Claire likes to feed Kelli fake food), "I need to sleep", "sad baby, sad" and "no no crocodile". She has also started using possessive language, such as "mommy's glasses" instead of just "mommy. glasses."






Claire loves necklaces, and at the dollar store one day, she made Hyrum put all of these on her. She kept asking for more more more!
Just out on a walk. She loves the stroller.

Our sweet sleeping girl. She loves her "blankie" and pillow, and yes, she even naps naked.
She always gets concerned when anyone is crying or sad. Mostly other kids in public. She'll say a long variation of "sad baby sad, sad baby, baby sad sad" before finally offering a hug. It's very sweet. She even hugs phones and computers, and always says hi and bye to every person she sees. Here she is hugging the "Sad" baby on the box of breast pads.

A week or so ago, Claire threw a fit in nursery when she tried to take her dress off and I wouldn't let her. She could get the front over her head but would get stuck and then ask for help. When I just pulled it back down she lay on the ground and cried. My poor little nudist, restricted by clothes!

Lately she's been saying "self" and "do it myself!" a lot, but after a few seconds she often resorts to "help!"

So, this is just a random, funny story. I bought a bunch of bananas so that I could freeze some really ripe, soft ones. Hyrum kept eating them, so I kept buying more. One day I bought 2 big bunches, around a dozen bananas! A couple of weeks of this and I finally ask him why he keeps eating all the bananas and he said "Because they're going bad! Why do you keep buying so many?!" Hahaha, we laughed so hard and he is so sick of bananas. I also finally got to freeze some!

One of her favorite things to say to herself is whenever she's playing or eating or anything, she'll say, "more? tay (okay)" to herself. 99% of the time she says tay or kay instead of yes.

Claire still loves books and likes to "read" to herself now. One day she picked up Brown Bear Brown Bear and as she turned the pages, "brown bear, brown see, bird, yellow, frog green frog, blue, white, sheep, fish, teacher, children see".
She did this for a body parts book too, and flipped up the little pages and named all the parts (toes, and fingers, and elbow, and eyes etc).
She likes to pull stuff out of my purse and name it. She has a drawn out "aaaaaand" between each thing. "Mommy's eyes (glasses), aaaaand money, aaaaaand snack, aaaaaaand pen, aaaaaand chapstick, aaaaaaand phone..." She also does it with colors.

Claire really likes things in order. She gets mad at Hyrum if he picks up my phone and yells "share!" then demands that he bring it to me. She doesn't like it if we use each others computers or use anything else that she doesn't think belongs to us. If a baby is playing with his mom's car keys, she'll gasp and try to get them while I attempt to explain to her that they aren't my keys.

Claire has started telling stories. One day, I picked her up and hurt her arm I guess, because she cried a little and wanted to go tell daddy, and among the jibberjabber, we heard "mommy, arm, hurt" with lots of hand gestures. Another time, we pulled the camera out after she had just told me a very emotional story about how a dog licked her hand, and this is us trying to get her to do it again. She needed some prodding, and it wasn't quite as funny, but you get the idea. Interpretation: "A dog licked my hand, and I was scared so I said "No no dog!" and then he was gone and I said "bye bye dog!"" The next night, she woke up crying "dog dog dog!" so I'm pretty sure she was having a nightmare about it, poor thing!

Our sweet girl doing some of the things she loves. She LOVES animals and the sounds they make. She loves colors, "counting" (I think her favorite number is 2), fake coughs, smelling her arm pits and saying "peace" instead of "P.U.", copying us, giving us hugs and making it better, and she usually leaves with "Bye! Love you! See ya soon! I'll be right back!"


Claire seems to little to us now, she's still around 25-26 lbs and I don't know for height, but she's still outgrowing her clothes!
