Claire's vocabulary is going crazy. It seems like she says something new every day. Her newest faves are- avocado, watch, light, orange, Kassie, hot (she says this every time we use the microwave, little smarty pants!), nana (for nurse), glasses, moo, read (she'll bring us a book and say "read! read!") and vroom. Her newest signs are more, bath and please. She even did the please sign unprompted a few times when she wanted a snack. She says "hi" and waves all the time to just about anyone and just loves people. At church last week she wandered around and ended up sitting in some woman's lap and played with her and her three kids for 15 min.

During the opening hymn in Relief Society one day, Claire got really excited and grabbed my hymn book and wanted to sit next to me. I put her in the chair and she held her open book and "sang" nice and loud. A few people near by were cracking up, it was too cute! She has always been a musical baby (when I was pregnant she went nuts for church songs), and dances constantly too. She'll dance to anything with a rhythm, this includes the chchch of the washing machine or daddy's made up songs.

A few weeks ago Claire was taking a bath and I thought she was done so I removed the drain cover and was about to get her out. Claire backed up away from me, grabbed the cover, put it back on the drain, and played for another 10 minutes. She is way too smart for me.

A couple weeks ago, Hyrum's sister Katherine and her family came to visit. It was so much fun! We went on a nature walk and this was, of course, Claire's favorite thing to do.

Abby was so sweet and the girls had a lot of fun!

They also gave us some of Abby's old clothes. Claire looks so sweet in these sour jammies.

And this adorable little skirt, carting around her raisins.

For the past 2 months I've been able to eat whatever without Claire reacting so we thought she was outgrowing her allergies or intolerance or whatever they were. She was still having random rashes so we decided to have her tested. Yay! She tested negative to everything! The allergist wanted us to introduce the foods we suspected, one a week, and hold off on eggs until 2 and nuts until 3. She now eats pretty much everything and while she is a bit rashier than she used to be, it's not too bad.

We have this cool park near our house, so we biked over there recently and Claire loved every minute. She cried at every transition (out of the bike, out of the swing, off the tire swing, etc) but she adjusts pretty fast.

This is me telling Hyrum that if he doesn't get us off that thing in 2 seconds I'm going to puke. That tire made Hyrum and I so sick, but Claire loved it.

2 weeks ago we got to go to little cousin Ian's baby blessing. It was awesome meeting some new family and we loved spending time with them and eating good food.

Claire loves all her hand-me-downs, this dress is too cute!

After eating, she likes to rub the food all over her head. She gets a little hair wash after just about every meal.

Trying out our gauze wrap, Claire seemed to like it and so did I.

Her first pigtails! Thanks to aunt Kelli, I've never gotten her to sit still enough. It looked kinda goofy, and they didn't last long, but it was still cute.

Kelli came to visit and Claire fell in love with "mama 2". From the second Kelli walked in the room, Claire just loved on her and many times refused to come to me! One night while getting her ready for bed, she plopped her naked butt right in Kelli's lap for story time. I took the book to try and get her to lay down for a diaper and she promptly stood up, glared at me, ripped the book from my hands, handed it back to Kelli, and sat back down in her lap.
We were going to do a family shoot one morning, but Hyrum ended up working so it became a mama and baby shoot. It was fun, and I am in LOVE with the pics. I can't wait to see more more more!

Claire LOVES books. We can spend so much time just sitting and her bring me book after book to read to her. Some times she only wants me to read the first page of a book 50 times. Other times she'll sit and listen to the entire thing and insist I read it again and again and again! She likes to have a nice little stack around and pick out new ones all the time.

It's so hard to take Claire places now and expect to get things done! She just wants down and to make messes and create havoc wherever she goes. In stores she pulls everything off shelves and displays, peeks under fitting room doors (luckily this has always been met with laughs), and generally just runs away from me.
She is such a social, sweet, fun, hilarious little girl. I love every second that we get to spend together and I just adore being her mama.
