7 months

Claire is doing so much! Here are some tidbits about my baby girl
*She got her first tooth yesterday. Bottom right
*She gets noticeably excited when I ask if she wants to nurse
*When she nurses while laying in my lap, she loves to hold onto one foot, often bringing it up near her face
*She still has that darn molluscum, but it's much better. I really hope it goes away soon!
*Her favorite book is "That's not my snowman"
*She likes pretty much every food we give her (she's had avocado, banana, squash, zucchini, celery, carrots, chicken, onions- probably her least favorite, sweet potato, green beans, peas, black beans and probably more that I can't remember right now). Lots of those were in soups/mixes, and she's only seemed to have one eczema reaction. One thing that she gets super excited about, is cod liver oil. She sucks it through a straw every night and LOVES it. She starts smiling and waving her arms as I shake the bottle. She also likes her vit d drops, so maybe it's an oily thing. The clo has helped her skin a lot, I think, so I'm glad it's easy to get her to take it!
*She is still a definite mama's girl and very wary of strangers. Some people make her cry (by doing nothing more that looking at her) and some will get a smile. However, don't think about taking her out of my arms!
*She does like other people sometimes, and even cried when her almost aunt Kassie got up and walked away from her, despite me being in the room! She also played with Cory's hair for 10 minutes. She loves pulling hair. loves it.
*She loves being tickled
*She LOVES peek-a-boo and this little piggy
*She hates bibs and can pull most of them off now
*She is fascinated by the inside of a mouth
*When I hold out my hand and ask for high fives, she smiles really big and starts slapping my hand
*Her bum is looking pretty awesome. Aside from all the other stuff we do, I finally figured out that I was changing her too often. We've noticed for months that she looks the best first thing in the morning (after being in the same diaper for the last 12 hours). So, if she sits in a wet diaper for a few hours, then her rashes pretty much go away. It's hard mentally to put her down for a nap in a half soaked prefold, but I know that she needs it!
*She was 19lbs 5 oz yesterday at the doc fully clothed, so she's probably around 18 1/2?
*She is still the sweetest little girl around :)

Gotta love the props to keep her from destroying the sign

Her favorite toy (that is actually a toy, and not a power cord, or a cell phone, or paper) is this little bird, especially the feet.
She loves helping to unwrap presents
She watches me in the car, like this.
She loves blowing bubbles and making funny sounds with her mouth/tongue
She can hold on to her rocking horse by herself (you can also hear her favorite "Ah" sound that she makes all the time)

She's getting so close to crawling. She can easily get up on her hands and knees, and then up to her toes as you can see. She can push herself backwards all the way across the room.

LOVE this post! I love hearing about everything she's doing and as always her adorable little face!!! I think Claire is taller than Ella was, but Ella was almost the exact same weight at 6 months. So glad you keep up with your blog! Maybe once I get done early nestin. I will pick back up on my blogging!
