Just some cute things I want to remember about Claire at this age.
Some of my favorite mispronunciations:
nipple = apple
Hyrum = hammer
tongue = tum
avocado = cado (she used to just say avo)
onions = unnies
vitamin c = hiss
pizza = pot-sza
hello = ho She talks on her little phone like this, "Ho? Hey. jibberjabberblahblah" Adorable.
underwear = armor
snow = no
olive = agoo
In one of her Dr Seuss books there is a phrase "Fiffer feffer feff" and she'll try to copy and say "fiff fiff fiff".
pink = pete(s)
stuck = guck
Claire went through a phase a while ago where she demanded both of my breasts be out at the same time while nursing. Now, she's going through a phase where, when she's ready to switch sides, she says, "Away!" and tries to push that breast back into my shirt. It's pretty hilarious, and she does it every single time. She refuses to nurse if they are both out of my shirt.
When I open the fridge, she runs over, finds the cod liver oil in the door and pulls it out, saying "please".
Some of her favorite snacks include raw diced onions (sometimes dipped in ketchup), ketchup, raw green peppers, any and all fruit (especially apples and pears, frozen or freeze dried cherries and blueberries), Annie's cheddar bunnies, cod liver oil, sodium ascorbate (powder vitamin c which tastes awful), cheese, avocado, olives, snow, ice.
Claire hasn't had an accident in public so far and looks so cute sitting on her little potty chair that goes on a toilet. Only annoying thing is I have to totally strip her naked from the waist down in order for her to pee (If I don't, she just keeps saying "off" and won't go until I comply). Also, I don't think there is anything cuter than her little bum in a pair of boy short style girlie underwear.
The only way Claire will fall asleep in public is if she is in the ergo (which is how she naps on Sundays since we moved to 1pm church). One day I had to shovel snow in the afternoon and she got sick of playing in it and just wanted to nurse. So I went and got the ergo on and continued shoveling. She was nursing, and after a while I realized she had fallen asleep! I shoveled for about 20 more minutes before going in and she was out cold the entire time.
Claire likes to put things in the hand of her baby dolls and make them do things. For example, she was helping me stuff pillows for her chair and she would grab the stuffing, hold it in her baby's hand and use the baby's hand to stuff it into the pillow. Or I was building an IKEA chair, and her baby handed me a screw.
One night, I'd thrown my back out and couldn't move so Hyrum went with Claire to get pizza for dinner. When they got home, she wanted to bring it to me (she LOVES pizza) and was trying to get the box out of Hyrum's hands. As she was pulling as hard as she could, she progressively got louder and louder, saying "Thank you! Thank YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!" with an angry little face. It was hilarious.
Every morning when Claire wakes up, Hyrum goes and plays with her in her room while I sleep in a little bit. Actually, he lies on the floor dozing while she plays around him and occasionally wakes him up to read her a book or something. Also, if Claire is naked she will often take herself to pee on her little potty, and then tell us so we can empty it. One morning, Hyrum was sleeping on her floor and she had to pee. This time, however, she decided to empty the potty herself- on Hyrum's head. Hahahahahahah! I laughed so hard when I woke up and found them in the shower. He said it was a lot of pee, and for a split second he thought she had dumped out her sippy cup of water, but then he opened his eyes and saw her standing there with the potty in her hands, saying "Pee!"
Claire cracks us up every day, we love it!

Lol!! These are hilarious. She'll love reading these when she's older. I wish we had more stories like this!
The Thank You story is hilarious. I can just see her doing that. The "pee" story is eeeewwww. Yuk. What a big girl for being potty trained already. Yay Claire.
She is so soooo funny! These are great memories! My C always took off all her clothes to pee in public too. Holding a newborn and wiping and dressing a toddler is ...irritating. :) but funny in retrospect.
