Last Friday was my official last day of work. The people I worked for found a new nanny sooner than we both expected (I said I could work until May if needed, but if they found someone before that I would be fine with it) so now I get to be a stay at home wife until I become a stay at home mom! So far my house is cleaner, my laundry is done, and I eat less (I tend to not eat when I'm home. Don't know why). Maybe that's why I got up at 3 am with my stomach growling, and now can't go back to sleep. Here are some pictures of my last few weeks with my boys. Liam turns 2 next week and Evan is about 4 1/2 months.
Evan LOVED the hotsling. It was the only carrier that I or his parents tried that he liked (no mei tai, no wrap, so beco ssc, no baby bjorn). It was getting to be a tight squeeze towards the end, for both of us!

Sometimes he would fall asleep like this. He loved just hanging out by himself sometimes. He is SO different than colicky, refluxy Liam was at this age.

Lately, whenever I tried to get a picture of Liam, this is pretty much all I would get.

Or this.

Liam in his took (that's Canadian for hat), trying to get his jacket off by himself. Or in Liam language "ME DO IT!!!!"

It was a little like watching him breakdance

Evan adores Liam. It's so sweet.

And he's such a smilely baby!

Trying on my new wrap, didn't last long.

Their parents took Hyrum and I out to lunch a few saturdays ago, as a goodbye/thanks thing.

My last week, I and the new nanny both worked. So we got to do some fun things. One day I took Liam up to the Museum of Natural History (it was walking distance for us). He liked it, but this is the only decent picture I got because he was just running around and away from me the whole time! When his mom got home that night, she asked him what he did that day. He responded with, "Saw spiders. Scared me."

My last day we both took both boys to the Children's Museum. Liam loves it there and had so much fun! I also ran into Aundi, my friend from NC that is also a nanny, with the two girls she watches. Here Liam is carrying around a stuffed chicken, and kissing it. He has had a slight love affair with chickens since I started showing him pictures of mine. At lunch with his parents he was being goofy and called me Chicken Brie. Maybe like the crazy cat lady? Hyrum thought it was hilarious and still calls me Chicken Brie. Knowing Hyrum, that might last a while.

He loved the water part and didn't try to drink it nearly as much as the last time we were there.

Outside in the helicopter. I think he really liked it (his uncle is a helicopter pilot and it's yet another thing Liam is obsessed with), because he didn't want to get out, but he also didn't want me to let got of him and he didn't smile the entire time we sat in there. We probably sat there for 20 minutes while other kids ran in and out pushing buttons and screaming that the helicopter was on fire and we all had to get out.

The only picture I got of Evan that day. Look at those blue eyes and that chub! Both his parents and Liam all have brown eyes. Evan also weighs 6 pounds more than Liam did at this age. And he's tall. And he has a big head.

Sweet little noisy Evan
I'm going to miss my boys!
