Last day of being 2

Since tomorrow is Claire's third birthday, I thought I would finally post a few things that she did during her second year that I want to remember.

Hyrum told Claire he would fix the email on her little computer. He tried to sign on but the leapfrog server was down. He said "Sorry, Claire I can't fix it right now" and she said "that's OK daddy, I'm so proud of you, I kiss you"

Claire,"I'm hungry mom, can I have some lunch?"
(She's already had lunch, so I'm thinking snack) Me,"Sure, how about a cheese stick?"
Claire, with a disgusted look,"Um, how about some food? How about eggies, mom?"

Hyrum brought home a big box from work and made it into a temporary play house for her. One day we were playing the three pigs and the big bad wolf, and after a few successful rounds, she started saying this- Me: "Little pig, little pig, let me in!" Claire, holding the door wide open: "Of course you do, come on in. Come on."

Claire loved that box, and called it her castle. We kept it for a few months before it was just too destroyed.

tomato- bonato
strawberry- strardberry
sugar snap pear- snugar shap peas
playdough- potatoe
flip flops- flip-ops
popsicle- hakserbuckle

Early one morning she was nursing in bed, and while holding my breasts she lovingly whispered, "Oh my darlings." I almost died laughing.

After pulling her hat out of the dryer and handing it to her, "Oh hat! I missed you so much! I love it!" (hugging hat to her head)

One day Claire had just finished watching a show, and came to ask me if she could watch another- "(holding up one finger) Just one more show, mom, just one more. (looks at hand, holds up another finger) Just two more shows, mom, just two more."

She has picked up a few Spanish words from Dora and Diego, these are some that she uses-

That's too big! I need pequeno!

Ayudame! Ayudame! 

I told her "tengo frio" (I'm cold) and she replied, "Let me get you a blanket"

Anything that has happened at any moment in time was "last morning"

If I am ever mad at Hyrum, she will jump in front of him and yell, "leave him alone!"

Claire took a little mommy and me soccer class, and wasn't the biggest fan. She loved the coach, loved kicking the ball around for the first few minutes, but by the end of the 30 min, she was usually saying things like, "YOU kick the ball!" The kids are supposed to do a cheer at the end of class, "Kids love soccer!" and one day, instead of this phrase, she mumbled, "Kids don't like soccer!"

Hyrum: Do you want to go to the shop?
Claire: Oh no, it's dangerous for little people

She has a reoccurring dream about a wolf, and the first time she woke up crying, saying, "the wolf tried to eat me up! I don't want to get eated! It was in our house, we're going to need a door to protect us."

Another time, she woke up at 2 am shouting, "MOM! I lost Bryn (one of her best friends)! Where is she? I can't find her!"

Claire developed a really bad rash one day, that I could see getting worse and worse. I'm still not positive about what caused it, but we gave her benedryl for the first time. This is how she reacts-
