So, I wrote this on time and then forgot to post it. Oh well.
Claire is still such a sweet, happy girl. We haven't measured her in forever, but you can see these 2T jammies riding up! Every morning they are at her elbows and knees. I don't know if that's normal or if she needs 3T, I don't remember that happening before. I think she's around 25-26 lbs but I haven't weighed her in a while. She has her bottom two molars coming in, but still only 7 teeth in front! She throws tantrums every now and then, but they are very short lived
Claire is such a dare devil, it scares me! She always wants to go faster and higher. She loves to climb, and is really into getting onto the table and dancing. She attempted to climb up into her high chair the other day, which is pretty impossible and she fell. Claire constantly gets up on the rocking ottoman and "surfs", cracking up the entire time. She goes down slides by herself and can spin in circles for so long that it makes me sick just watching! Claire is so social, she says "Hi" to random people in every store we go in. If they don't look, she says it several times, loud, while waving. It backfired on her today when said hi to a woman and then handed her a book I was going to buy her because she loved it so much (she's also very good at sharing), and the woman decided to keep it! My poor little girl asked for it back and I don't think she understood why this lady wasn't giving it back, but luckily I found another one. Claire also will show off like crazy when we have people come over. After she warms up for 3 minutes, she'll dance, pee on the potty every 4 minutes, spin and say "weeeeeeeeee!", show you all the body parts she knows, and the animal sounds, and all her favorite toys. We've got her in a little kindermusik class that we enjoy, and a gymboree play and learn that she loves. Claire is very into balls right now. She also loves to put everything "away!" as she says. Usually before they're done playing with whatever it is. The teachers crack up and other parents invite her over to their house because some days she literally spends the whole class cleaning up and telling everyone AWAY! This transfers over into things like putting coins into her piggy bank. I showed her once how to do it, and now she'll sit forever just putting all the coins away. She loves playing with money anyway, and will sprinkle it on my head or throw it behind things we can't get to. My mom came out for Thanksgiving and Hyrum and I had our first date since Claire was born! We went to a matinee for Harry Potter and we were the only 2 people in the theater. It was really fun, and I loved being able to talk during the movie to explain things to Hyrum. Claire was wonderful, and my mom even let her go diaperless when she asked, with all pee going in the potty. I wish my mom lived closer! I've recently figured out a good way to keep the kitchen clean- sink baths! We strip Claire down for her meals because she gets so messy and she absolutely loves baths, so after breakfast and lunch I put her in the sink. She plays happily while I get the dishes done and the counters wiped. Claire adores bubbles right now. I love how she says it too, a high pitched, excited squeal- BUH-boh! Another new obsession, drawing on stuff she's not supposed to. As soon as I tell her uh-oh (which we use instead of no for non-dangerous situations), she throws the crayon on the floor and runs away. Only to find another a few minutes later and resume coloring on the floor this time, or the carpet, or the wall. It's actually pretty funny. Claire loves to talk to people on the phone. Here, she's giving daddy a kiss while he was in LA for a business trip. She also likes to show the person on the phone things (like pointing to her eye) or give them a fist bump. She always cries when we hang up. I just took Claire to the children's museum for the first time when my friend Aundi invited us. Claire had fun, but it was during nap time so she was a little worn out. Sweet baby Maggie (short for Magnolia, how cute is that?!). She's the perfect combo of her parents, with those Robison lips, chin and hair! Claire regularly lies on the ground in public. She's nursing this doll in the middle of the room (and almost got stepped on by running kids). Then she played and bounced and talked to the baby. They went for a little horse ride And pretty much the rest of the time was baby's bath! Out cold within minutes of getting in the car. She's hugging "Bear" who she now sleeps with and absolutely loves. One of Claire's favorite things to do right now is the "If you're happy and you know it" song with lots of add-ins about touching all the body parts. I don't sing it here, but here is some of what she knows.
Claire can sign red, blue, green and orange, and can say the first 3. I'm not sure she actually knows colors, though sometimes she gets it right.
Claire doing some of her favorite things- dancing, eating snow, and "bump it"
She's going to LOVE reading this some day! It's so detailed, I love it! The dancing video is so funny and I love hearing her voice. Her hair's getting so long!
