She is doing new things every day it seems. Favorite books- Brown Bear Brown Bear, Mr Brown can Moo, and My Little Pup. Favorite song- Moonlight Sonata by Beethoven. Favorite food- loves everything, but probably applesauce. We've been having issues with constipation but as long as we feed her liberal amounts of prunes every day, she does fine. Her skin is doing great. The molloscum is almost gone, and due to liberal amounts of cream (not lotion) twice a day, her skin is pretty darn soft. She babbles a lot, but her favorite thing is "uh?" like a little seal. She also says yaya, nana, mama, and dada (she doesn't know what they mean yet).
She loves taking showers or baths with me. She brought a full cup of water to her lips this morning and drank some (a lot) with out spilling any. Of course, she dumped it out a minute later, but I thought that was pretty good. She loves spending time with her daddy, but after an hour or so, Claire is ready for mom. She loves to climb on us when we lay on the floor. If we show our stomachs, she has to come over and lick it. She loves to crawl under and through things. She loves to explore.
Claire has become such a social little girl. She LOVES going to places with lots of people where she can crawl around. Her favorite times are church playgroup, La Leche League meetings, and Storytime at the library. She takes off, will sit somewhere in the middle of a circle of people, then find someone random and start smiling really big and batting her little eyelashes. She will crawl up to people and pull up on them, and she tried climbing into a few different laps at the chiropractor's office. However, at the same chiro appt, she freaked out when I was being adjusted. Get away from my mom! Though I still can't believe this is the same baby that cried when a stranger said hello. Now for the 9 month pics!
"Oh great, here she goes with the pictures again. This 8 month piece of paper isn't going to fool me."
